The Leelanau Trail rolls through the countryside with several different great spots to soak in nature and  with great opportunities for birding. Join us for this truly unique wine country experience in partnership with the Detroit Bird Alliance and Grand Traverse Audubon Clubs. Roll down the paved Leelanau Trail to our favorite birding spots and then find yourself at boutique wineries later on in the day. We will pick up your wine and bring you lunch to enjoy overlooking the vineyards.

On this tour you will casually roll down the Leelanau Trail making detours to hand selected birding hot spots hosted by Grand Traverse Audubon Club.  After a morning of birding we roll to Shady Lane Winery for lunch and wine tasting overlooking the vineyards.  Then you continue down the trail to another boutique winery to finish out the day. The tour starts in Traverse City and finishes at our shop in Suttons Bay. The tour is led by our knowledgeable local guides we ride as a group down the paved scenic trail passing farms, orchards and vineyards along the way. We ride about 3-4 miles in between each stop. Our support van is always near by to pick up wine purchases or for rain rescue and just about anything else that may come up. The total tour is about 15 miles of casual riding. Want a boost, upgrade to an ebike for a little extra fun!

What's Our Cancellation Policy?
Full pre-payment required to confirm your reservation. Cancellations made 24hrs before the start of the tour are allowed for a full refund. Cancellations made after during the 24hrs before the tour are subject to a $10/person admin fee, weather related exceptions are allowed, see below.

What Happens if it Rains?
On days with light/intermittent rain, we provide rain jackets to keep you dry and comfortable. In the event of heavy rain please contact us to cancel or reschedule your tour. Weather related cancellations are accepted before 10:00am on the day of the tour for no penalty.
