Tour Tips

The essential winter adventure! Cross-country ski the groomed Leelanau Trail from Shady Lane Cellars to Farm Club with a guide and enjoy food and drinks along the way.

Your ski adventure starts with a tasting at the historic Shady Lane Cellars. Marvel in their sweeping property, replete with hand built barns and a cozy tasting room. Then, don skis and get ready to experience the joy of winter in Michigan!

Ski the 5.1 miles through scenic and mostly flat terrain, enjoying snacks and a water break half-way. Marvel in the snow-kissed vineyards, ski through orchards and woodlands, and take in sweeping views of the Leelanau Peninsula. Finish at the iconic Farm Club for a locally sourced supper. Enjoy a bowl of their "Bon Fuego", a fire-roasted stew, along with bread and a drink of your choice.

Included in the tour is transportation back to Shady Lane Cellars, (ambitious skiers are welcome to make the return trip back on the trail).

Please arrive around 12:30 pm. The tour begins with a complimentary wine tasting at Shady Lane Wines.
Please dress in warm layers (wool bases, wind/waterproof outer layers) and wear a warm hat and pair of gloves.
