Leelanau County is a Midwest mecca for sumptuously grown food and delicious wine, all sourced from within the unique micro-climate that is so special to our agricultural communities. Our Farm to Fork Bike Tour offers you an opportunity to experience these places and learn why they are so important to our community of food loving, wine sipping, cider drinking, and spirit making people! On this tour, you will enjoy the gently rolling hills and stunning scenery of central Leelanau County as we make our way to a vineyard and winery, orchard and cider house, farm and bakery, and finally, conclude with a farm to table dinner prepared by Epicure Catering and served in the cook's kitchen of Cherry Basket Farm, a 115 year old historic barn and farmstead. Our wine pickup service and friendly guides ensure that you are able to relax while enjoying this culinary and bike pairing adventure! |

- Parking at 45 North Vineyard and Winery
- 2018 Bianchi hybrid road bike and helmet from Suttons Bay Bikes
- Brunch cocktail + snacks & vineyard tour at 45 North Vineyard and Winery
- Hard cider tastings and orchard tour at Tandem Ciders
- Bread tasting and CSA farm tour at 9 Bean Rows Bakery
- Water and snacks throughout the day
- Locally sourced Farm to Table appetizers, dinner, and dessert served in the kitchen of historic Cherry Basket Farm prepared by the staff of Epicure Catering
- Wine pickup service and van support throughout the day
Trip Details:
- This tour requires moderate levels of physical activity. Participants should be prepared to bike for approximately 13 miles total over mostly hilly terrain on hybrid bicycles.
- Please arrive to 45 North Vineyard & Winery by 11:00 AM located at 8580 E Horn Rd, Lake Leelanau, MI 49653
- Our tour will begin with a winery tour and tasting at 45 North
- We will ride next to 9 Bean Rows Bakery and CSA Farm for a farm tour and bread tasting experience (pastries available for purchase)
- Our next stop will be Tandem Ciders, where we will have an orchard tour, as well as cider tasting room experience
- Our final stop will be Cherry Basket Farm in Omena. Tour participants will enjoy strolling appetizers and a farm tour, and a farm to table dinner prepared by Epicure Catering staff and served in the farm's cottage kitchen
- The evening will conclude at 7:00 PM and tour participants will be shuttled back to 45 North Vineyard and Winery
Tour Participant Policy
All reservations must be made for participants ages 21 or older. ID verification will be required for all tour guests upon check in.
Cancellation Policy
We appreciate payment in full to confirm your reservation. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation will be issued a full refund. We will issue a 50% refund thereafter if you should need to cancel your reservation.
Weather Policy
The Farm to Fork Bike Tour runs rain or shine! We will provide adequate bike gear and ponchos for light rain, and will offer the group the option of completing the tour by van if raining. We will not ride bikes in the event of rain, and will provide a van shuttle to each tour stop.
